LAUNCHING

The 2026   Festival!

KING

Welcome to the Children’s Festival of Welsh History 2026

Thousands of children from all over Wales will have the opportunity once again this year, to learn about Welsh heroes and heroines at inspirational and wonderful historic sites …all free of charge!

Our programme this year celebrates 300 years since the birth of Flintshire born naturalist and antiquarian Thomas Pennant. Thanks to our partners, pupils from schools all over Wales will get to know him and his invaluable legacy.

As well as live events, the programme includes digital workshops; short films; music videos and talks.

Take a look, and book your favourite session, and we shall see you in September/October.

Thank you to all the partners who are supporting the festival this year.
