The 2022 Festival!
Welcome to the Children’s Festival of Welsh History 2022.
The festival has a wide range of activities on offer once again this year - from the Mabinogi to the artworks of Kyffin, and from the brave Welsh Princes to the story of Tryweryn.
We are extremely happy to be returning this year to offer live events at heritage sites, and combining that with digital workshops that have proved so popular during the last two years.
Thanks to all the partners who contribute to the festival, ensuring that ALL SESSIONS are FREE for schools!
Have a look at what’s on offer; book your preferred sessions, and we shall look forward to seeing you in September/October. Book early to avoid disappointment.
The aim of the festival is to generate enthusiasm, mainly amongst children, for the history of Wales, providing unique opportunities to learn more about interesting characters and stories from the past; discover sites of historical importance, and celebrate the rich history and heritage of Wales.
A festival about our past - to entertain and inspire future generations
Celts; Romans; War and Peace; 60’s; Protest and Revolts; The history of art; Industry; Heroes and Heroines …whatever theme you will be studying during the Autumn term, there's something for everyone!
Register your interest in any of the available sessions, and we will be in contact to organise a time and date. All sessions are FREE OF CHARGE!
